ORDER and CHAOS in SPACE ✨

In this LOTLab we will use physical theater as a powerful tool to investigate the concepts of chaos and its counterpart - order. Through repetition, we’ll explore how our bodies modify space by moving through it.
Starting from the tele-theatre piece QUAD, conceived by Samuel Beckett in 1982, we’ll work on rhythmic ensemble movement to create a trance-inducing experience - not based on language, but on physical theatre and on how bodies communicate better than any words ever could.
Participation is active: everyone who joins will be an engaged player. We begin with actors’ training, focused on developing attention, collective listening, spatial awareness, and an enhanced sensitivity beyond everyday perception. Afterwards, we’ll move on to specific work on QUAD, reenacting its simple-looking trajectory of the square while observing the multiple effects on the human psyche and multi-layered meanings…
